What the Warranty Covers

The Verso Parnell 24-month warranty covers all manufacturing defects and movement issues that are not the result of physical damage, misuse, or external factors. The warranty period begins from the date of receipt — the day the watch arrives at your address — and runs for 24 full months from that date.

⚙️ Movement Defects Defects in the watch movement under non-human damage — including automatic, skeleton, and quartz calibres. If the movement fails through no fault of the wearer, it is covered.
🕐 Inaccurate Timekeeping Timekeeping inaccuracy not caused by magnetism, physical impact, or misuse. If a watch is losing or gaining significant time under normal wear conditions, this is covered.
🏭 Factory Quality Defects Manufacturing defects present at or shortly after delivery — including dial finishing, crystal fitting, crown function, or case assembly issues that originate in production.

The warranty applies to all Verso Parnell products: original watches, custom watches, and wholesale orders. Proof of purchase (order number) is required to initiate any warranty claim.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The following conditions fall outside warranty coverage. Understanding these exclusions helps you care for your watch correctly and ensures your warranty remains valid throughout the 24-month period.

  • Physical damage. Damage caused by dropping, impact, squeezing, or misuse — including cracked crystals, bent cases, scratched bezels, and damaged crowns resulting from external force.
  • Water damage beyond stated resistance. Water ingress resulting from exceeding the watch's stated water resistance rating, improper crown positioning during water exposure, or contact with hot water, steam, saunas, and high-pressure water jets.
  • Normal wear and tear. Gradual surface wear on the case, crystal, strap, and buckle through regular daily use — including light scratches on the case, strap ageing, and clasp patina — are the expected consequence of wear and are not manufacturing defects.
  • Unauthorised disassembly or modification. Any watch that has been opened, repaired, or modified by an unauthorised party voids the warranty. All warranty repairs must be handled through Verso Parnell's authorised service process.
  • Natural battery depletion. Quartz watch batteries have a finite service life (typically 18–36 months depending on movement). Natural battery depletion is a consumable item and is not a manufacturing defect. Battery replacement is not covered under warranty.
  • Accidental damage, natural disasters, or improper handling. Damage resulting from accidents, fire, flood, extreme temperature exposure, chemical contact, or any event beyond the scope of normal daily wear.

Requirements to Make a Warranty Claim

To ensure your warranty claim can be processed quickly and without complication, the following are required.

  • Order number or proof of purchase. Your Verso Parnell order confirmation email or order number is required to verify the purchase and confirm the warranty start date.
  • Claim within the warranty period. The issue must be reported and the claim submitted within 24 months of the date the watch was received. Claims submitted after the warranty period ends are not covered.
  • No unauthorised repair or disassembly. The watch must not have been opened, repaired, or modified by any party other than Verso Parnell's authorised service. Any unauthorised work voids the warranty entirely.

How the Warranty Process Works

The Verso Parnell warranty process is designed to be clear, fast, and supported at every step. From first contact to watch return, the process typically takes the following steps.

  1. Contact customer service Email Verso Parnell customer service with your order number, a clear description of the issue, and photos or video showing the problem. Response is provided within 24 hours on working days.
  2. Warranty review The Verso Parnell team reviews whether the reported issue falls within warranty coverage based on the description, photos, and order details. You are informed of the outcome and next steps.
  3. Return for inspection and repair If the claim is approved, you return the watch for inspection and repair. Shipping arrangements and any applicable fees are confirmed at this stage on a case-by-case basis.
  4. Repair and return The watch is inspected, repaired under warranty where covered, and returned to you. The repair is carried out to the same standard as the original manufacture.
  5. Warranty terms as stated All repairs are conducted in accordance with the warranty terms stated on this page. The remaining warranty period continues from the original warranty start date.

Understanding Water Resistance on Verso Parnell Watches

All Verso Parnell mechanical and quartz watches carry a stated water resistance rating. Understanding what these ratings mean in practice protects both the watch and your warranty coverage.

Rating 3 ATM Suitable for rain, accidental splashes, and handwashing. Not suitable for swimming, immersion, or sustained water exposure of any kind.
Rating 5 ATM Suitable for rain, splashes, handwashing, and casual swimming in pools or the sea under normal conditions. Not suitable for high-pressure water jets, hot water, steam, sauna, or scuba diving.
  • Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any water exposure. A partially extended crown compromises the water seal regardless of the stated ATM rating.
  • Avoid hot water, steam, and saunas. Thermal expansion from heat affects the seals that maintain water resistance. Hot water exposure can compromise water resistance even within the stated rating.
  • Avoid contact with chemicals and seawater for extended periods. Chlorine, seawater, sunscreen, and cleaning products can degrade gaskets and seals over time. Rinse your watch with fresh water after prolonged sea or pool exposure.
  • Water resistance is not permanent. Seals degrade naturally over time. Annual seal inspection is recommended for watches worn regularly in water, particularly in high-humidity environments like the UAE and Gulf coast.

Water damage resulting from exceeding the stated rating or from improper use (crown not pushed in, hot water exposure, chemical contact) is not covered under the Verso Parnell warranty. The water resistance rating is a guide to correct use, not an unrestricted guarantee.

Care & Maintenance — Protecting Your Watch and Your Warranty

Proper daily care extends the life of your Verso Parnell watch and ensures your warranty coverage remains fully valid throughout the 24-month period. The following practices are recommended for all models.

  • Avoid drops, strong impacts, and hard surfaces. The sapphire crystal on Verso Parnell watches (Mohs 9 hardness) is highly scratch-resistant but not shatterproof. A direct sharp impact can crack the crystal or damage the case. Treat the watch as a precision instrument.
  • Keep away from strong magnetic fields. Proximity to powerful magnets — including some smartphone speakers, clasp closures, and industrial equipment — can affect mechanical movement accuracy. If you notice sudden timekeeping inaccuracy after magnet exposure, contact customer service. This is a known mechanical effect and, if not caused by physical damage, may be addressed under warranty.
  • Clean the strap and bracelet regularly. The rubber sport straps and steel bracelets in the Verso Parnell collection should be wiped with a soft damp cloth periodically to remove perspiration, dust, and residue. This maintains the strap material and prevents premature degradation of the clasp and buckle.
  • Replace quartz batteries promptly. On quartz models, replace the battery as soon as the watch stops or begins to lose time noticeably. Running a battery fully flat and leaving it in the movement can cause battery leakage that damages the movement — this constitutes improper handling and is not covered under warranty.
  • Store in the presentation box when not in use. Every Verso Parnell watch ships in a handcrafted luxury wooden presentation box. Using this box for storage protects the watch from dust, humidity, and impact when not on the wrist.
  • Avoid temperature extremes. Do not leave your watch in direct sunlight for extended periods (such as on a car dashboard in UAE summer heat) or expose it to extreme cold. Both can affect movement oil viscosity and, over time, seal integrity.

  • UAE: Warranty support available in English and Arabic. Response within 24 hours. UAE is Verso Parnell's primary market — buyers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and all other emirates receive priority handling.

Does the warranty cover the Seiko NH70A movement in the Aurora watches? +

Yes. The warranty covers movement defects under non-human damage across all Verso Parnell watches, including the Aurora and Aurora Sport which are powered by the Seiko NH70A automatic skeleton movement. If the NH70A develops a manufacturing defect, inaccurate timekeeping not caused by magnetism or impact, or any factory quality issue within 24 months of receipt, it is covered.

I bought my watch as a gift. Does the warranty apply to the recipient? +

Yes. The warranty is attached to the watch and the order, not to a named individual. Warranty claims require the original order number or proof of purchase.
